About CIBUS: a Guernsey café for breakfast, brunch & coffee

CIBUS is a café on the South Esplanade in St Peter Port, Guernsey, serving all-day breakfast, fresh brunch dishes, sandwiches, salads, smoothies and great coffee since 2025.

We started CIBUS with a simple idea: good, fresh, healthy food and a genuinely welcoming café where locals and visitors can sit down, slow down and enjoy a proper breakfast or lunch in the heart of St Peter Port. Whether you are after a quick flat white and a pastry before work, a long weekend brunch with friends, or a takeaway on the way to the harbour, we would love to see you.

Our name, cibus, is the Latin word for food. It says what we care about: honest food, made well and served with a smile.

Our food: all-day breakfast, brunch & fresh lunches

Breakfast is served all day at CIBUS, so you can have your eggs, toast or yoghurt bowl whenever you like. Our menu is built around fresh ingredients and generous plates:

• Breakfast bowls: triple berry yoghurt bowl, caramelised banana oatmeal, apple and peanut butter granola bowl and a mango smoothie bowl.
• Cooked breakfasts and brunch: the Cibus Big Breakfast, Small Breakfast and Vegetarian Breakfast, smoked salmon hollandaise, a three-egg omelette, Croque Monsieur and Croque Madame, and sourdough toasts topped with hummus, whipped ricotta or loaded favourites.
• Lunch and sandwiches: the Cibus Special Burger, Korean chicken, crispy fried pork belly, Prego no bolo do caco, halloumi with Greek-style salad, pea and mint fritters, and sandwiches including BLT, ham and cheese, bacon, brie and cranberry, and our Italian focaccia.
• Salads and sides: Caesar salad, avocado mango salad, sirloin steak salad, French fries, sweet potato fries and more.

Coffee, smoothies & drinks

If you are looking for good coffee in St Peter Port, we have you covered. Our coffee menu includes espresso, double espresso, cortado, flat white, cappuccino, latte, mocha, Americano and double macchiato, plus matcha and chai lattes and melted hot chocolate. On warmer days try an iced latte, iced Spanish latte, iced mocha or iced matcha.

We also make milkshakes (vanilla, chocolate, coffee and banana), fruit smoothies (mango, raspberry, strawberry and mixed berries), and serve English breakfast and herbal teas and a range of soft drinks.

Yes. You can take your food and drinks away, and we offer 10% off food on takeaway collection (drinks excluded).
